Journeys West Tours & Transportation is owned
and operated by your hosts Terri and Sylvain.
Terri and Sylvain came to British Columbia from Ontario; Terri
from Toronto and Sylvain from Ottawa. Terri’s post secondary
education includes a diploma in Outdoor Recreation Management from
Capilano College in Vancouver. While on her Practicum placement
in Fernie, she decided to stay. Terri's interest in horses started
at a young age and continued as a member of pony club. She also
enjoys hiking, skiing and many other outdoor pursuits.
Sylvain finished his law degree, and then headed for Fernie to
ski. He has no intentions of leaving…so much to ski! Syl also
enjoys hiking, windsurfing, sailing and more.
We started Journeys West because we love the region of Canada we
live in and wanted to share the beauty and the wonder with others...
From where the vast prairie in Alberta meets the majestic Rocky
Mountains in British Columbia, to the most northern tip of the Sonoran
Desert, in the Okanagan Valley, we explored roads, rails, rivers
and trails. |

Each operation was examined for quality, safety and enjoyment before
we included it in our itineraries. [We visited every place and met
with every guide personally.] We chose theme based packages because
there was so much to see! A theme helped create a focus and meaning
to the tour and a better experience for our guests. Our itineraries
are entirely based on the merit of the product and the quality of
the activities. For a friendlier ambience and for the comfort of
all passengers, we have limited our guest maximum on every tour
to 10. All our tours are non-smoking.
It is our desire to take you on a journey to remember. A journey
that reveals new wonders takes you to beautiful vistas and introduces
